THERAPY... FROM TRUST TO TRANSFORMATION
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Ani received her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University.
Ani began her career working with at-risk, incarcerated, and post-commitment adolescents and their families, and has facilitated therapeutic, anti-violence and psychoeducational groups in rural Idaho and throughout South Florida.
Ani approaches her work with clients and the therapeutic process from a place of non judgement, compassion, and a fundamental belief in the inherent, positive potential of every individual.
Her natural warmth as well as years of education and experience in clinical and non-clinical settings provides a safe, supportive, and effective therapeutic relationship for her clients.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Therapy is a process of courage and trust that leads to positive transformation. It takes courage to acknowledge when a circumstance or situation feels beyond your current resources and to reach out for professional support. My role as your therapist is to use my extensive training and experience to provide you with this supportive, trusting, and confidential relationship as we work together to transform the aspects of your life that are consuming your positive emotional energy.
As my client it is not my goal to keep you in therapy for as long as possible; rather my approach is an intensive short-term therapy, yielding long-term results. Much like the serenity prayer, a good therapist can help you to address and change the areas of life over which you have control and to truly "let go" of the issues or problems that are not contributing to your well-being.
Whether you feel overwhelmed by everyday stressors and would like to develop better coping skills, you’re chronically anxious and need to restore emotional balance, or you are a parent challenged by your child's choices and behaviors and concerned by your own response, it is my privilege to engage in this process with you, to provide you with the very best of my therapeutic resources so you can release what isn't working and move forward toward positive relationships and a life that expresses your best and highest potential.
When you or someone you care about is experiencing a mood disorder, your general emotional state or mood is distorted or inconsistent with your circumstances and
interferes with your ability to function.
